The Haryana Cabinet has approved major amendments to the HKRN Selection Policy 2022 (Contractual Staff Posting Policy 2022). These amendments modify the selection procedure for contractual employees under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN).

New HKRN Selection Process

Following the change, the selection process is now based on the following 8 parameters, with a maximum of 80 marks awarded:

1. Annual Family Income – 40 Points

2. Age of the Candidate – 10 Points

3. Skill Qualification – 5 Points

Candidates who hold a recognized qualification certificate from NCVT/SCVT/SVSU or similar institutions for relevant positions will receive 5 points.

4. Higher Qualification – 5 Points

Candidates who possess an additional qualification above the basic requirement (at least Grade 8 pass) in the same field will receive 5 points.

5. Common Aptitude Test (CET) – 10 Points

Candidates who pass the Haryana CET will receive 10 points.

6. Ease of Deployment – 10 Points

What was eliminated?

Two criteria have been completely eliminated from the selection process:

• Socioeconomic criteria – 10 points
• Previously, these points were awarded to orphans, widows, and fatherless children.
• State government experience – 10 points
• Previously, these points were awarded for previous work in the Haryana government.

This means that only 80 points will be considered in the selection process, instead of the previous 100 points.
