हरियाणा कर्मचारी चयन आयोग, चंडीगढ़ – सार्वजनिक सूचना दिनांक 21.09.2021 अनुलग्नक आर-3/3 के रूप में संलग्न है, जिसके द्वारा उम्मीदवारों को विधिवत सूचित किया गया था कि आयोग ने बहु-शिफ्ट में आयोजित परीक्षाओं के लिए उम्मीदवारों के अंकों को सामान्य करने का निर्णय लिया है। दिनांक 21.09.2021 के उक्त नोटिस में पर्सेंटाइल अंकों की गणना की विधि का भी उल्लेख किया गया है, हालांकि इसे इस माननीय न्यायालय की सुविधा के लिए नीचे पुन: प्रस्तुत किया गया है:

Part 1: Calculation of Percentile Scores This step Ls lo be completed separately for each shift.

Bank Jobs	Data Entry Jobs
10th Pass Jobs	12th Pass Jobs
Railway Jobs	Clerk Jobs
PSU Jobs	All Latest Jobs

• Record the number of candidates who have actually appeared in the shift. Denote this number by N.
• Sort all the candidates in one shift in decreasing order of their marks.
• Note the raw marks for each candidate. Suppose this is denoted by T. Count the number of candidates in that shift whose rah, scores are less than or equal to T.
  • Denote this number by m.
• The percentile score for this candidate is then calculated as = P= 700x m/n
• The percentile P above can be rounded off to the requisite number of decimal places.

Part 2: Calculation of Ranks After completion of Part 7 above, separately for every shift, combine all the files into one single file.

• Sort the records in decreasing order of percentile scores P. Assign Rank I to the first candidate in the sorted list, Rank 2 to the 2nd candidate in the sorted list and so on.
• Ties, ,f any, will be resolved by either assigning the same rank to all the candidates with the same percentile or by using a pre-decided tie-breaker. “

Illustration Explaining Percentile Method

The below mentioned illustration with hypothetical data clarifies the percentile method in a simplified way:

Percentile of a candidate obtained in the respective shift is calculated shift wise. Suppose an examination is conducted in 3 shifts and the percentile is calculated for Shift-1, Shift-2 and Shift 3 using following formula;

Percentile : No. of candidates scored marks less than particular marks in the written examination in that particular respective shift (m)……………………………. x 100 Total number of candidates appeared for the exam for That particular respective shift. (n)

Now, percentile Score of candidate having highest marks in that particular shift will always be 100. For example:

Shift 1: Suppose total candidates appeared in Shift-l are 14516

Shift 2 : Suppose total candidates appeared in Shift-2 are 14800

Shift 3: Suppose total candidates appeared in Shift-3 are 14250

यदि उपरोक्त दो श्रेणियों में सामान्यीकरण प्रक्रिया का पालन नहीं किया गया होता तो लिखित परीक्षा के आधार पर पीएसटी और पीएमटी के मानदंडों के अनुसार सात बार शॉर्टलिस्ट किए गए उम्मीदवारों की संख्या विभिन्न पालियों से निम्नानुसार चुनी जाती; –
